Freewriting

      "He who does not hope to win has already lost". This quote hits me pretty hard because I can relate to this so much and how it can be applied to everyday life not too many people wanna try somthing new that just go with the flow but how can you learn anything if your not gona try and this quote is a great example of that and we all should learn from it especially for people who expect to compete in anything plus this quotee can give you hope on your next obligation. That ovbligation can be anything just as long as you expect to win and not give up or even worse not trry at all. I am writing this freewrite while I have company over so this shouldnt be that challenging even tho I have the game in thee backround makin funny nioses, There were alot more quotes I was expecting from the qiotatiuon bank but I made due with wat was given to me and as easy as it sounds to type for 5min staright I believe writing it would be alot faster im not sayin ima slow typeer or anything just typing makes me pause a bit more then usuall or maybe its the topic that was given...idk im still in a blur actually i dnt even kno if my 5 min are up so im goin to stopp typing now...im done.



          To focus on my topic more is what I have chosen. What i mean by that is that I want a better understanding of the topics I choose so I can feel confident in writing about it. No one would feel comfortable writing about a topic that you can barely understand. So thats one thing I believe I need to work on if I plan on being successful in a class where you have to write all the time. If my understanding of most topics can grow then I should be in good shape in the future. Most of the time its the topics of research papers and other assignments that can get to me the most. Sometimes I would just put down my own opinions and knowledge into a topic if I do not have a full understanding of. Im sure others do as well but the fact of how good we can make it sound is the real test. Having little to know about a topic doesnt help much, so gaining more information about it and understanding it better can be a great help in the long run.

The first 18 pages of the Evergreen book really gave me some great ideas. I was able to soak up a good amount of advice it was throwing at me. By reading just those pages I feel if I have any trouble in writing I can turn to the book for some help. It gives a great amount of information on how to get started when you want to write a paper. Brainstorming and free-writing were my favorite ideas from the book so far. Evergreen gives you a variety of ideas there should be no way someone would be stuck or frustrated with a topic. The practices it gives you also seem pretty helpful.
The Evergreen book can keep your mind wide open in all aspects. I really enjoyed reading it and the great ideas it had to offer. The book also makes you take into consideration the little things in everyday life. Meaning something you used to look past, can be your main topic on your next paper. It taught me techniques that will definitely benefit my writing process in the future. Such as capturing the audience and figuring out the purpose of your idea. The idea of writing a journal is helpful as well.

 My name is Keven Montinard and I am obsessed with sports. Im 18 and live in Bridgeport, CT with a single mother. Times get hard but somehow we manage. I enjoy playing sports, such as football, basketball, and etc. with my friends at a local field or court just having a good time. Would love to have a pet but, I have a mother who hates animals. I have one sister and no brothers. On my free time I play video games and sleep ! I also enjoy listening to music especially alone.


I ended up taking a semester off of college due to some financial issues. It really wasn't my choice but you know what they say "everything happens for a reason". So in order for my futures plan to come alive I need to tackle these 2 years at HCC with full force. I enjoy facing challenges mainly because I love to test myself to the best of my abilities. I was excited to start college for this reason because this seems to be the toughest challenge for most people. To be honest I was scared starting this semester off now I'm just excited about it. You learn a lot from people and that's why I'm thankful for the people that I have in my life now because they made me who I am today. Ambitious, Courageous, and Independent.
